Texting Declan 😊

“I need to finish this run up,” I thought and pumped the speed up on my treadmill.

Within a minute, Declan plopped himself in the chair next to me with my phone, his tablet and headphones in his hands.

“Mom, how do you send a picture on your phone?”

“Who are you going to send them to?

“Daddy.”

I nodded.  I was breathless, contemplating the best way to explain the procedure using the fewest words.

“Do I just press this plus button thing?”

“Yes!”  Oh, praise the Lord, that was easy.

Declan took my phone over to the TV area, and sat down.

I finished my run, sent dressed and fed kids off to school and started my morning routine.

In the afternoon, I remembered Declan with my phone and wondered what he had sent to his Dad.

And like always, Declan’s texts brought the biggest smile to my face.

Good job, Dad.

I think we will be heading back to the Washington D.C. area sometime soon.

And I also think I know what we will be going to see 😊
